We solved the problem about the GPS coordinates !

There it is... After three months, Clarisse's birthcard.

Mommy Elodie and daddy Max are very happy and proud to have such a beautiful daughter !

Clarisse is born on the 27th of may 2011 in Bergerac. Everything went just perfect, and Elodie would have liked to do it again, so much she loved to give birth.

After the busy highseason months have passed, the young parents have more time for their little baby now !

After six months of hard work, we opened the renovated restaurant the beginning of April. On the 29th of April, our guests enjoyed the first theme evening in our restaurant.

Meanwhile a lot of naturists have already enjoyed the excellent cooking of our chef Jurrie!

The first of April. The peacocks settled themselves on the highest top of the roof of the old mansion. It looked if they wanted to tell us: we are observing the arrival of our first guests!

March 2011. After all the heavy work, it's time for the finishing touch. The painting colours are chosen, floors and walls have been pointed, maintenance placed... so much has been done, too much to mention it all. Time for some photographs.

'Les grues reviennent tous les ans...' (the cranes return every year...), that was written on our Christmas card. Now the moment is there, since last week we enjoy their migration to the North. It means, spring is in the air!

We are busy preparing for the new season and we hope to offer you soon a refreshing drink after your trip to the South!

February, time flies! Many people swarm around in the new restaurant: our renovating is going on quite well. The tiling of the kitchen is nearly finished and the floor tiles for the restaurant will be laid these coming weeks. New windows are placed as well as the sceptic tank and lots of other activities are going on.

But, what has Nelleketo do with all this? Riddlemeree….

The renovation of our restaurant is shaping up rapidly. The new walls are ready and the roof is almost finished. Erik and Noppes were great, thanks for helping us. The building is going on in full speed towards the new season!

The rates of 2011 are available on the website. We have very interesting discounts in low season. On top of the low season rates we offer an additional discount up to 40% on the length of your stay.

September was beautiful, warm and sunny. Many of our guests took part in the 'jeu de boules' contest with the English Sun Trackers or relaxed on the terrace. Monday morning they enjoyed our famous 'coffee with apple pie' moment. Every afternoon there was a 'Happy Hour' on the bar terrace. Enjoying  the sun, chatting, with a glas of wine... In the evening many dined in the restaurant, eating the excellent food made by our cook Jurrie.

The season is over now and... who thinks it is holiday time now for us, is mistaken! :) Immediately after the closing of the campsite, we started pulling down restaurant and kitchen to prepare for the complete make over in the winter. We had to saw down our famous tree that grew through the roof of the restaurant.

The spectacle ended with a big peaceful fire who was warming the hearts of everybody.

The show itself was thrilling and many spectators experienced goose flesh while looking at the performance: the music and the dancing, the complete silence,...

Our compliment to everybody who participated in making this evening such a great success.

A fire-sound-light show, every year a very special event, was organised on August the 14^th. Take a look behind the scene...

The 16th of August the children discovered Neptunus, called 'Neppie', God of the Sea all alone floating on a raft on the lake. He had troubles with the sea witch. The children helped ‘Neppie’ by tempting the sea witch to go to a trap where they had created a fake treasure decoy.

Every Monday in high season there is a theme day for the children around a special theme with funny characters.

The 2th of August a Tree man came to visit Le Couderc.  

Many activities on Le Couderc took place these last six weeks:

the fireworks of 14^th of July, the spooky night – no flashlights permitted -, the weekly ‘Open Podium’ on Wednesday nights, workshops juggling, circus spectacles of Pierres circus, etc.etc. They were all great and we didn't put it on the internet. So, time for some news and pictures from Le Couderc!

 ‘The Couderc Band’, playing two Sunday afternoons on the terrace of Le Couderc, was brilliant. Under the warm sun of the Dordogne and a glass of wine nearby, people listened to the musicians.

There is now an Automatic External Defibrillator (AED) available at Le Couderc. Some of our team has acquired the kowledge and skills to use the AED in case of emergency.

Camping guests who stay at the flower meadow have now easy access to drinking water. They no longer have to walk the distance to the facilities at the family or museum meadow to fill up their containers.

We, at Le Couderc, try to spare our planet in our own way. With small investments and change of habits we want to help to create a better environment. For instance by working together with farmers in our neighbourhood who deliver their products directly to our campsite. It is the ideal way to reduce the CO2 emission. The beef we serve in our restaurant is coming from a biological farm not far from us (the farmers name is also Le Couderc :)). Fresh strawberries are delivered a few times a week from Saint Léon d'Issigeac, a small village near the campsite. Our house wine is also produced in this village. There is still a lot of work to do but we are convinced that these small initiatives do help to create a environmental friendly world.

The sun is shining... Marieke is painting on her beautiful work above the jacuzzi. Next week it will be finished! Come and have a look!

The camping opens on the first of April and the day after we'll welcome our first guests of this season. The swimming pool is on temperature, the terraces are swept and cleaned, tables and chairs are in their place. These last weeks we enjoyed the warm sun of spring while working outside. Very special is that Marieke is creating a work of art at the jacuzi. Look at the photographs and see what we ahve done recently to make your stay at the Couderc a pleasant one!

The construction of the new chalets on the podium meadow has been finished. Thanks to Eric the connection of the facilities went twice as fast. Eric, thank you very much!

La Rainette, the new chalet on the podium meadow that's adapted for wheelchairs, is the first chalet that has been constructed. The result is magnificent! The interior is beautiful and: very spacious, modern and luxurious.
